Book #1 in The Lady Sleuth series
It benefitted detectives to think like criminals, and servants of justice to understand its hypocrisies.
When Charlotte Belgrave received her offer for amnesty, she was quite unsure of what to make of it. An ultimatum in all but name from her estranged mother-in-law, calling upon her aid to track down a missing husband, having promised her freedom from her wrongful imprisonment, but only if she succeeded.
Imagine the desperation which must have so overcome the woman—a duchess by marriage—to enlist the disgraced “lady sleuth” who, far as she knew, murdered her darling son. It was too intriguing of a windfall to pass up, and it would see Charlotte knee-deep in aristocratic politics and familial intrigue; both things she once wished desperately to avoid.
More importantly, however, she won’t be able to do it alone. An actress, an accountant, a bruiser, and a thief, ever-starved for justice would join her in unravelling what might be their final joint mystery.
After far too long, my first novel is out!
The probably-not-period-accurate-but-I-tried-my-best piece has finally hit the shelves! Figuratively! Because it’s an e-book, and I’m too broke to print it physically, hence we make do. Sure, yeah, I could have sent queries to the big publishing houses, but they aren’t my style. Am I going to let that stop me? No!
And neither should it stop you! If you’ve got some work-in-progress on the back burner, what the heck are you doing? Go finish it. What’s life gonna do? Kill you?
